A good and busy season for craft fairs

Image
Hi all, Still around and lots of things to share so I'll have to write a couple of blog posts (better than the last two months where I didn't have a lot of time nor inspiration). The first craft fair I visited was the "Hobbysalon" in Antwerp. It was quite new to me and had some nice surprises. Designers I didn't hear of before or some "old acquaintances" :-). View of one of the corridors     The ladies from " Liebevolle Kreuzstichentwürfe " and their always very lovely booth Lisette from Calico House and Ellie were present with lots of lovely fabrics and quilts   Atelier JMG (felt)     Atelier Wilma Creatief (felt)     Isn't this mouthwatering? 't Poppenateljeetje   All Tilda figures, new tissues, etc ... De Handwerksite Crochet and mandalas ... a lovely combination! De Kettingkast (Holland)   An idea for the " Randje per week " (2014) - found at the "...

Still around :-)

This will be a blogpost whitout pictures! Well ... it has been a while since I last posted on my blog. January came and flew by, followed by February and now we're already a couple of days into March! The reason for not posting much is that: A- Our old computer that needed to be replaced. We bought a new one in January but ... it took some time to install all of the programs and get used to the new Windows 8 system - which frankly drives me up the wall because it is completely different from the old one we were used to! I heard from a collegue that lots of people are experiencing the same thing! B- I'm experiencing lots of problems downloading my pictures to Blogger (and I didn't find the courage yet to try on our new computer ;-). C- I don't have lots of progress to report about. I've been hooked at playing Hayday and Farmville 2 in the evenings so not much time was spent with needle nor thread (be it embroidery, quilting or knitting). Nevertheless I...

New releases

Hi all, First of all, thank you for all your kind comments on my blog posts last year! I don't have always the time to answer you personally but I highly appreciate you and your thoughts. I wish you all a very healthy and creative year with all the things you wish for! And now the things stitching wise ... Recently I've bought the Shabby Advent Calendar (which will be for next year) - from Cuore e Batticuore . I've just learned that she released something similar for spring. I sent her a message a couple of weeks ago that I found it a shame that there were way too less cross stitch designs for Easter/spring (when you compare with Halloween or Christmas) ... maybe she listened :-) ... Here it is, the Shabby Spring Calendar: Also found another lovely set of advent stitchings via Carin  who is currently working on them. They are called "Advent Animals" and are published as freebies (one each month) by Brooke's Books . Have a look. Plenty of thi...

Hi all, Just taking a little time to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous and lovely New year! I leave you with a picture of the x-stitch piece I did plan to end this year ... and which will take more then a couple of weeks into 2015! 😉 Enjoy and stay safe! Xxx Ann

Happy birthday to ...

... me! Today I'm not switching the last but the first digit ... ;-). And a couple of interesting things that happened in my year of birth:   I'm not really thrilled because it is a cape that has to be taken. On the other hand ... it's just a number! In my mind I'm still 21 - no make that 25 ;-).   I still need to work today but starting from tomorrow I'm on holiday for two weeks (only returning on Monday 5th of January 2015).   Guess what I'm going to do? Embroider, quilt a little bit on my Dear Jane, stash shopping and doing some excursions (to the sea, Bruges, the zoo in Antwerp, ...). And enjoying the festivities of course (eat and drink to much).   Have a nice day! Ann

She's finished!

I have stitched and stitched and stitched to get it over and done with and yes ... she's finished ... "Asian Beauty" by Lanarte! I hope mom won't be reading my blog the next couple of days, because I want to return this stitched beauty on Christmas eve. Isn't that a great gift? ;-) Here are a couple of pictures. Sorry if they're a little bit dark but the weather is grey and dull for the moment.     I adored stitching on her. It never became dull due to all those splendid colours on the black background. I'll miss her but on to something else (new)! Who knows ...

Advancing well

with moms "Asian Beauty" (by Lanarte). I soooo love her on the black (can't imagine stitching her on 32-ct - or higher - linnen though :-). In the meanwhile I've already filled in the empty spaces in the "balls" and I'm advancing to the front of the "headdress". And because it's so lovely ... a close-up of the crown: Have a nice weekend!
