IHSW September 2012

Hi all,

I hoped to show you some progress on my Serengeti mandala but I must admit that I didn't even touch a needle this weekend!

On Saturday we had our annual fair with local and traditional craftsmen (beekeeping, basket and other weaving, folkloric dances, ...) and on Sunday we lunched at my parent's house. Afterwards I didn't have enough energy to stitch :-(.

Next weekend isn't looking good as well because I'll be heading over to a big crafts fair on Saturday and on Sunday we have something planned for the kids (zoo visit, ...).

On a merrier note ... I've just seen that Sara - one of my favourite designers - released a new fall piece. It's sooo beautifull! Here it is:



It has the same style as her SAL Sorpresa (on which I hope to subscribe next month - too many things going on stitching related).

Don't hesitate and just go for it! This is a perfect autumn piece (I hope she'll make other ones to cover the other seasons :-).

Eh bien ce fut donc un week-end sans xxx mais avec certainement beaucoup de plaisir lors de ces fêtes.
j'aime bien ce modèle de Sara, il me fait penser aux dessins Prairie Schooler : je pense que tu aimeras beaucoup participer à ce SAL.

Wow! I have never seen that design!! Absolutely gorgeous--reminds me of Prairie Schooler charts which are my favorites...

The fair sounds like fun--no wonder you didn't have the energy to stitch :)

This time we travel to the south of Europe ... Italy being our destination ;-) RENATO PAROLIN I can't remember how I got to know the designs of Renato Parolin (who doesn't have a website nor a blog)... Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my 39th birthday! I never figured out whether mom did this on purpose or not ... just before Christmas (my birthday is never celebrated big time)! :-) I've received some money and a book coupon so I guess I'll do some stash enhancing ... cross stich, quilting or knitting ... what will it be? Long time no see

Well it has been an awfully long time since I last posted here but I switched to Instagram (annsombel) a couple of years back (December 2016 to be exact) as I encountered some problems with posting on Blogspot and I didn't always know what to say. I kept following all of you who also have Instagram profiles but I admit that I'm missing the rest of you so ... I'll be posting here sometimes (let's say once a month or maybe a bit less) to keep you updated :-).
