Ornament SAL June 2013

It's already that time of the month for posting my update on the Silver Lotus' 2013 SAL :-)

I would like to enter two of my Country Cottage Needleworks "Houses of the Month" series, being January and February.


Entirely stitched with DMC on 32-ct Lambswool linnen 

Next month I hope to show you March and April or one/two houses of Country Cottage "Santa's Village" :-).

Your stitching looks lovely. You asked about those Christmas ornaments I have done. The series is a kit from Dimensions and it's name is Spirit of Santa.

This time we travel to the south of Europe ... Italy being our destination ;-) RENATO PAROLIN I can't remember how I got to know the designs of Renato Parolin (who doesn't have a website nor a blog)... Today is my 39th birthday! I never figured out whether mom did this on purpose or not ... just before Christmas (my birthday is never celebrated big time)! :-) I've received some money and a book coupon so I guess I'll do some stash enhancing ... cross stich, quilting or knitting ... what will it be? Long time no see

Well it has been an awfully long time since I last posted here but I switched to Instagram (annsombel) a couple of years back (December 2016 to be exact) as I encountered some problems with posting on Blogspot and I didn't always know what to say. I kept following all of you who also have Instagram profiles but I admit that I'm missing the rest of you so ... I'll be posting here sometimes (let's say once a month or maybe a bit less) to keep you updated :-). Summary of what I've been doing in a nutshell (longish text so skip this if you don't feel like it :-):  Beginning of 2018: Moncarpacho workshop by Willyne Hamerstein (from her Millefiori Quilts 3 book) April 2018: start on "Doing the Rounds" by Thimblestitch - more or less halfway through now 2018: working on "Camelot" by Trish Harper - finished in June 2019 July 2018 - October 2018: SAL 100 Modern Quilt Blocks by Tula Pink (still have to sew all the blocks together but some block changes...
