Paper castle

Lots of beautifull things come from Japan ... think of embroidery, quilts, kimono's, crochet, ...

But the following thing really is a labor of love! A paper castle!!! Mr. Wataru Itou spent 4 years of his life working on this piece. It even includes a moving train entirely made of paper! WOW!!!





I just let the pictures speak for themselves ... but WOW what a patient man! ;-)

Ja ik had het huisje van april al gezien en ook haar nieuwe met de taarten. En ze zijn leuk om te maken hihihi...

This time we travel to the south of Europe ... Italy being our destination ;-) RENATO PAROLIN I can't remember how I got to know the designs of Renato Parolin (who doesn't have a website nor a blog)... Today is my 39th birthday! I never figured out whether mom did this on purpose or not ... just before Christmas (my birthday is never celebrated big time)! :-) I've received some money and a book coupon so I guess I'll do some stash enhancing ... cross stich, quilting or knitting ... what will it be? Long time no see

Well it has been an awfully long time since I last posted here but I switched to Instagram (annsombel) a couple of years back (December 2016 to be exact) as I encountered some problems with posting on Blogspot and I didn't always know what to say. I kept following all of you who also have Instagram profiles but I admit that I'm missing the rest of you so ... I'll be posting here sometimes (let's say once a month or maybe a bit less) to keep you updated :-).
