Sophie Digard scarves

In march 2010 there was an article on the Needleprint blog about the Sophie Digard scarves. I must admit that I fell in love with them but unfortunatelly those lovely scarves, jewels and bags are not in my price range (around 300 USD for one scarve :-( ouch!

Because it's cold here (-10°C even during the day), I'm getting tempted on crocheting one myself and using her creations as inspiration. I'm not going to copy them, since I have respect for the copyright!

Think that the Japanese Noro yarns are perfect for it (especially the Cashmere flavor and Flower Bed range)! There's also a great UK French alternative that I got to know during the last Aiguille en Fête (2011) in Paris but which I can't remember for the moment! Enne .. je bent altijd welkom bij de yahoogroep hoor :-) Het stimuleert ontzettend om zo elkars werk te zien en te bekijken wat een ander er weer bij heeft geborduurd.

I have a lots of your scarfs and love them all. Never tell my husband how much it is cost ( he will get the fit ��)

Favourite designers - Renato Parolin and Rovaris

This time we travel to the south of Europe ... Italy being our destination ;-) RENATO PAROLIN I can't remember how I got to know the designs of Renato Parolin (who doesn't have a website nor a blog)... First ornament of 2013!

I've finished it yesterday so I guess I'm still good for the 2013 Ornament SAL :-). I'm not completely sure if it's only the stitching that needs to be finished or the entire ornament ... I'll have to check that! So without further delay, here it is: Spring in my Garden Barbara Ana Designs   It was a real joy to stitch but the only thing I didn't like doing were the bees ... very small and fidly :-)   I've also changed the colour of the rabbit, chicken and the bees wings from DMC Desert Sand (colour variation) to 738 (rabbit and chicken) and white (bees wings) ... otherwise they wouldn't show well on the fabric.    In the meantime I've already started the Barbara Ana "Owl-o-ween" design :-)

Long time no see

Well it has been an awfully long time since I last posted here but I switched to Instagram (annsombel) a couple of years back (December 2016 to be exact) as I encountered some problems with posting on Blogspot and I didn't always know what to say. I kept following all of you who also have Instagram profiles but I admit that I'm missing the rest of you so ... I'll be posting here sometimes (let's say once a month or maybe a bit less) to keep you updated :-).
